Onika Tanya Maraj was born on 12/8/82 in St. James Trinidad, to parents Carol & Robert Maraj. Her mother held numerous jobs to provide for her family. Her father worked for American Express & suffered from alcohol & drug addictions.
Nicki lived with her grandmother in St. James until she was five years old, & her mother visited occasionally. She later came to get Nicki & her brother Jaloni & moved them to Queens.
As a little girl, Nicki dreamed of being an actress, so she put her all into it. Her acting career never took off so when she got of age, she worked various jobs that didn't really satisfy her. She finally thought about rapping & she has been doing it ever since.
With her three albums still skyrocketing in sales & her extending community of Barbies & Kens growing by the day, she is truly the baddest bitch.
Now, with her clothing line, Myx Fusion Moscato brand & acting career finally starting to take off, she just keeps growing. Nicki has already laid the foundation for her to have this moment for life. You betta werk Nicki.
